One Highgate, London

Summary

The client, The Marble Group, expressed a need for specialist estimating and quantity surveying support as they were in the process of being awarded a high value contract for works at One Highgate. AG Surveying negotiated the contract terms and conditions for this newly awarded contract to safeguard The Marble Group and clarify in more detail elements of works that their price had initially not included for. AG Surveying also compiled a detailed programme of works to be incorporated into their contract.

The works

The Marble Group supplied and fitted 2,000 square metres of stone for The Byrne Group at a project known as One Highgate (also known as Furnival House). The project consisted of 15 luxury units including bespoke marble, granite, limestone and porcelain in 42 luxury bathrooms, 15 kitchens, a swimming pool, entrance lobby and Spa.

AG Surveying (AGS) provided project management, estimating and quantity surveying services, and assisted in the contract negotiations for this project.

The outcome

AGS successfully secured an extension of time claim that exceeded our client’s expectations and off the back of our success on this contract, we now undertake all of The Mable Group’s estimating, project management and quantity surveying for their larger projects. In addition to this, some of the exclusions we clarified at contract negotiation stage later resulted in variations to their contract sum, meaning that the client gained additional value for works that would have otherwise have been deemed (unknown to The Marble Group) part of their contract works.
