Post Contract Construction
Supporting Main Contractors after the contract is awarded
For Main Contractors who’ve won the contract and are preparing for construction to begin, engaging the support of an experienced team of Quantity Surveyor’s is the best way to keep your project moving toward completion in a timely and cost effective way.
AG Surveying can manage the whole process - sourcing required subcontractors, analysing tender returns, placing subcontract orders in bespoke or standard forms, managing procurement schedules, value engineering, valuations, variations and CVR commercial reporting to ensure your project runs as smoothly as it should.
Below, we have highlighted some of the key areas we support Main Contractors with post-contract.
Procurement
Procurement support can include:
- Preparing Pricing Schedules
- Contract Preparation
- Subcontractor Tendering
- Chairing and minuting post tender meetings
- Subcontract Agreements
- Material Purchase Orders
- Management of Procurement Schedule
Valuations
Our team can undertake Valuations on your behalf, carrying out detailed on-site measurements, valuing sub-contract works and ascertaining the value of any materials on or off-site.
Variations
Our team will identify and value variations to the original tender upstream with your client and downstream with your subcontractors, making sure all costs are recovered from the client where appropriate.
We can also value any delays and prepare the necessary contractual notices and claims advice on any contractual disputes.
Progress Meetings
Your dedicated Quantity Surveyor can attend progress meetings and minute as appropriate. They will ensure payment and all commercial matters are discussed and progressed at these meetings.
Commercial Reporting
When managing the commercial reporting of your project, we can fully integrate ourselves within your business. Main Contractor clients often provide us with full access to their accounts and commercial reporting systems, and we have experience working with Coins, Procore, excel cost reports and much more.
We can produce and present monthly CVRs, as well as sharing updates on commercial risks and opportunities associated with the project. We will update on anticipated gross margin at the end of the project as well as the value of works completed to the end of any given reporting period.
