Fleet House, Hampstead

On behalf of The Marble Group, AG Surveying successfully tendered for, and then managed the stone work package at Fleet House in Hampstead, London.

The works comprised of:

• Fabrication and installation of specialist stone internally, comprising of but not limited to:
  • Floor Tiling
  • Wall Tiling
  • Vanity Tops
  • Splashbacks
  • Shower Trays
  • Worktops
• Fabrication and installation of specialist stone externally, comprising of but not limited to:
  • Specialist Wall Tiles
  • Courtyard Paving
  • Copings
• Design and installation of external courtyard wall tiling on specialist brackets
• Fabrication of specialist solid stone cantilevered strips

AG Surveying carried out the following:

• Tender Stage
  • Creating a detailed measured take off of all the stone work on the project
  • Pricing the detail scope of works, based on previously determined rates and similar works priced
  • Comparing price to stone schedule received from the client to make sure everything has been captured
  • Compiling all clarifications specific to the project and adding to the standard list of qualifications
  • Reviewing of the Sub-Contract order received from the client, issuing changes to be made in order to suit the Marble Group’s best interest and negotiating over the finite contract details

• Project Stage
  • Determining quantities of all material and equipment and procurement of said materials
  • Design of specialist fixings for courtyard stone including: AutoCad Drawings; Loading calculations; Liaising with specialist metal fabricators; Procurement of fixings
  • Keeping track of all potential risks and potential cost saving opportunities, and taking steps to mitigate any issues / maximise profit
  • Ensuring all variations agreed with the client prior to additional works commencing on site
  • Attending site meetings, surveying progress on site and submitting applications on this basis, to ensure our client was paid correct values within the correct timescales
  • Agreeing the final account
