Hutton Road, Shenfield

AG Surveying both tendered and then commercially managed the works at 142 Hutton Road in Shenfield on behalf of our client, Frederick J French, who acted as principal contractor on the scheme.

The works comprised of:

• Demolition of an existing bank including the vault
• Underpinning of the adjacent properties
• The construction of four, two bedroom flats and a new retail space
• Full fit out of all areas including design of the kitchen and bathrooms

AG Surveying carried out the following:

• Pricing of the project at tender stage, including getting specialist subcontractor prices and undertaking a detailed review of the price with the client
• Procured and placed orders for all specialist sub-contractor packages and materials
• Managing all subcontractor accounts to ensure they were paid the correct amount, on time
• Identifying all variation opportunities arising from design changes and unforeseen issues and raising these with the client in the appropriate format
• Keeping track of additional time that resulted from variations, and raising Extensions of Time as appropriate
• Raising all RFI’s in a timely fashion, and chasing responses to close out each of the queries
• Creating and submitting application documents each period to ensure our client was paid on time
• Creating cashflow forecasts so that the architect could manage the clients expectations
